Full-year, 1 credit
ESL LITERATURE & LANGUAGE IN ACADEMIC STUDY 1- 4 Year Program is designed to meet English Language Learners at their language proficiency level, providing international students with a language rich environment in which to perfect listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Building vocabulary, both in everyday usage and in an academic setting, is also stressed. — Jackie Rahm
Full-year, 1 credit in Social Studies
ESL U.S. HISTORY provides international students with an overview of U.S. history from prehistory to the present in a language skill-building environment. Reading, writing, and vocabulary skills are emphasized in the context of U.S. history. — Jackie Rahm
Full-year, 1/2 credit
TOEFL provides international students with an overview of theTOEFL (Test of English As A Foreign Language) and covers practice sections in reading, listening, speaking, and writing. International students may take the test once a year, usually in May.—Jackie Rahm
CONTENT SUPPORT provides a time for international students to check in with the International Coordinator to address academic, social, and hometay issues. As needed, international students receive individual help to work on grammar, writing skills and reading comprehension to meet the expectations of the regular curriculum courses.— Jackie Rahm
