UPPER SCHOOL WORLD LANGUAGE
Language classes are not only interdisciplinary but multi-sensory delving into the history, food, and culture of a region. The aroma of ethnic cooking often wafts from the Whalen Common room as students and teachers immerse themselves in the language, camaraderie, and senses brought on by an exotic meal. Most students take four years of World Languages in upper school including AP offerings. Students participate in lively, interactive, multi-media classes. Long Trail also offers several trips abroad to Spanish- or French-speaking countries for more language and cultural immersion.
