MIDDLE SCHOOL
"In sixth grade I was faced with the decision of where to go to school. Would I be going to a New York state school or putting in the extra effort to go to a Vermont school where I would get a better education? I know that I made the right decision. As I go to college, I carry with me so many memories that I will never forget. I am leaving with much more than an education." Mimi Roberts'03,
Rupert, VT
Middle School courses emphasize an interdisciplinary approach. Teachers work in teams to coordinate the material and monitor each studentas progress. In addition to a full-year of core courses, middle school students take academic complements in music, art, computers, and physical arts. A communications course provides valuable skills in conflict resolution and decision making. Academic Workshop helps students in grades six through eight acquire the study skills necessary for
high school and beyond.
