SUMMER READING PROGRAM

To LTS Students and Parents:

At Long Trail, we value reading and expressing opinions about that reading. We look forward to hearing your thoughts about your summer reading. The LTS Summer Reading Program booklists are to be kept and consulted over the next three years. Good writing practices on your submissions are expected. Books must be chosen from the appropriate lists – sorry, no exceptions.

The first due date of July 8, 2009 for grades 6-10 reflects a recognition that students may need a little break at the school year’s end before starting up again. August 1, 2009 is the due date for grades 6-12. The book review format for grades 6-10 and question sheets for grades 6-8, 9-10 and 11-12 are in the front of the Summer Reading List. Feel free to contact English Department Chair Kim Rizio or Academic Dean Sean Sonderman with questions.

Your summer reading will count as 1/6th of your first semester English grade.
