Expectations
- Students are expected to be present and enjoy the experience. This is the trip to give your child space to be with friends and form new relationships, soak in the history and attractions offered in Boston, and largely take a break from phones and devices.
- Please do not expect your child to be in constant contact with you, rather encourage them to take the opportunity to unplug and fully participate in this dynamic trip.
- Money: Students will not need to bring any additional money for meals on this trip. We recommend a small amount of money to allow students to buy souvenirs or similar while visiting Boston.
- Phones are to be used for communication and photos only. Students abusing their phone privileges will have them taken away or be subject to other disciplinary action. (See phone policy)
- The threshold for unacceptable behavior during this trip is significantly lower than our standards at school. Students are expected to adhere to all school rules when traveling. Infractions of any school rules will result in the student being sent home immediately, at their parent’s expense.
- Trip Specific Rules:
- Students are forbidden from ordering food delivery services to their hotel rooms.
- Students are not allowed in rooms of the opposite gender.
- Trip Specific Rules:
- It is crucial that our students exhibit proper decorum and respect. We kindly request your assistance in reminding your child about the importance of respectful behavior, active participation, and attentive listening while on the trip.
- If your child has food allergies, dietary requirements, or any other relevant information regarding meals, please let us know by contacting the school nurse Stephenie Frawley: sfrawley@longtrailschool.org

- a. Confiscation of the phone for the remainder of the trip.

In sending your child on this trip, parents/guardians agree to the consequences of any violations. It is the responsibility of the parents to ensure that their child understands and abides by the rules outlined in this policy.
