Environmental Chemistry

Environmental Chemistry focuses on the introduction to and application of chemistry in the natural environment. Chemistry is the study of substances that make up our world, changes in these substances, and the energy needed to bring about these changes. Students will study chemistry topics as they apply to the natural world including but not limited to water, soil, agriculture, air, energy, natural resources, and sustainability. The course will include readings, discussion, hands-on labs and possible service projects in the school and community.
