LTS Mountain Lions christened their new Fieldhouse on Monday, December 16. Despite two losses, the enthusiasm in the gym never wavered.
A capacity crowd witnessed a nail-biter in the opener as the Girls JV fell to Hartford 28-29. The girls were paced by some timely baskets and solid defense from junior Charleigh Tifft.
The Boys Varsity was beaten by an older, deep and talented Bellows Falls squad. Senior Jeremy Linfield and freshman Aiden Tarbell paced Long Trail scoring.
The evening was bigger than the results on the court. The excitement of LTS hosting the first home game in the 45-year history of the school was palpable. For the several hundred students, faculty, alumni and fans in attendance, the night was truly special and something to build upon for both this season and the future.
