Red Fox Community School is excited to be entering its third academic year this fall and is pleased to announce that the school will have a new home.  Red Fox will be moving to a rental space within Long Trail School in Dorset. Red Fox students will enjoy access to the beautiful sixteen-acre campus along with the use of the LTS library, theater, common spaces, and new Fieldhouse.

Community has been at the beating heart of RFCS since its inception in 2017. Its  teachers dedicated to educating and knowing children as whole people, valuing their opinions and respecting who they are as individuals. Red Fox is already a feeder to LTS, and Red Fox’s fresh relationship with Long Trail is an opportunity for the stakeholders in both communities to cultivate friendships and collaborate.

RFCS founding parent and Chair of the Board of Directors Maxine Linehan remarks, “As a parent, it is critical that my children’s social and emotional well-being is prioritized. Learning how to live happily and be yourself in this fast-changing world is invaluable, and having our family philosophies mirrored in school creates a very consistent existence for our children. I am thrilled to continue building upon the supportive relationship with LTS.”

“Long Trail is delighted to welcome the Red Fox Community School to our campus,” Head of School Seth Linfield says. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for our students and the RFCS students to learn and grow together.”

RFCS educates students through a progressive approach to be independent thinkers, creative problem solvers, and engaged, respectful community members.  For more information about Red Fox Community School, contact the Admissions Office at or (802) 768-1288.
