Education: BA, Williams College; Vermont Teacher Apprenticeship Program
Katie grew up Milton, MA and graduated from Williams College in 1999 with a BA in Art History. After graduation she settled at Stratton Mountain, working first as the Snow Reporter and then as the HR Recruiter. When friends from college decided to start up a broker/dealer, Katie joined the firm and spent five years working as an institutional equities trader. Pursuing her dream of a career in education, she enrolled in the Teacher Apprenticeship Program in 2010 and was fortuitously placed at Long Trail School. After earning her teaching license through TAP, LTS offered her a position in the Humanities Department, and she spent three years teaching History and English full time across grades six through twelve. Katie was appointed the Director of Admissions in 2014 and joined the Long TrailSchool Leadership Team and is entering her ninth year of teaching IB History.
Katie completed the ISANNE LEADS program in June of 2019, and was appointed to the Board of ISANNE in July.
Katie and her husband Chad live in Dorset, VT. They have two children and a
funny little dog named Woodstock.
