Peg comes to Long Trail School with a long history in the fields of human services and mental health. She worked at an inpatient psychiatric hospital and a pregnant and parenting teens program before beginning a 27-year career in community mental health with United Counseling Services of Bennington County. There she served for nearly two decades as the Director of outpatient services for the Northshire before taking over as Director for the entire county.
In 2016, Peg became the Director of Wellness for Green Mountain College where she provided therapy services to students, consultation to faculty and developed a wide range of proactive wellness programs and services for the Green Mountain community. When the college closed in 2019, Peg opened a private therapy practice in Manchester.
In her various roles, Peg has provided consultation services to local schools and businesses. One of her greatest joys is helping others to attain their goals, which she’s been able to experience in her role as a Field Instructor for SUNY Albany, UVM and Antioch as well as by supervising numerous therapists toward licensure. Peg also teaches Continuing Education Programs in Ethics.
Peg enjoys yoga and likes to spend as much time as possible outdoors kayaking, biking, walking, snow-shoeing and cross-country skiing. During her 30-year marriage, she and her husband have renovated multiple homes together and in February they moved to Manchester to embark on their most recent renovation project. Peg is proud to own her own toolbelt and scaffolding.
