Awesome Climbers,
The moment we have been waiting for is here, our first competition! While we are definitely encouraging everyone to compete, it is by no means required. So far it’s been a great season. The kids have been climbing hard and have weathered this crazy year admirably.
Here’s all the info for next week:
- Tues., Feb. 1: Practice @ GMRCC
- Wed., Feb. 2: Competition
- Middle School: 4:00-5:30
- Upper School: 6:00-7:30
- Transportation: Climbers will be riding the Rutland Bus as it departs LTS at 3:00 pm. A bus will return to LTS at the conclusion of the upper school competition at approx. 8:30 pm. Parents are welcome to pick their children up from the gym. Be sure to check in with John or Josh if you leave the gym with your child.
- Spectator Policy: Unfortunately, the Rutland Gym still has a no spectator policy.
- Food: Climbers should pack extra snacks and water as it may be a late night for some. There is an Applebee’s right next door, as well as a Subway and McDonalds close by. Students are not allowed to leave the GMRCC without a parent, but parents are welcome to get food and bring it to their children, or pick them up and bring them to get something to eat. Be sure to check in with John or Josh if you leave the gym with your child.
