Affording Long Trail
Domestic tuition for the 2019-20 school year is $19,300.
There are many options for families to fund their tuition including school choice town vouchers and financial aid. Over 60% of Long Trail students receive financial support.
Vermont School Choice
Families residing in in Dorset, Manchester, Rupert, Pawlet, Danby, Londonderry, Middletown Springs, Rutland Town, or other towns that do not have a municipal middle or high school, a significant portion of tuition is paid for by the town. Dorset, VT Residents
In the spirit of community, Long Trail accepts the Dorset town tuition rate for grades 9-12 as full tuition payment. So, high schoolers residing in Dorset have the opportunity to attend with zero tuition owed after receipt of their school choice voucher.
New and returning families that intend to apply for financial aid do so though TADS. Once the application is complete and audited, the TADS calculator determines the amount a family can contribute to tuition.

Plan A: 100% tuition payment is due July 1.
Plan B: 50% tuition is due July 1; tuition balance due December 1.
Plan C: 10-month payment plan with first tuition payment due July 1.
