​iCan: Empowering Seniors to Connect with Technology on Wed., Feb. 10
On Wed., Feb. 10 from 3:30 to 5:00 pm at Long Trail School, you can join Joe McVicker and a team of Long Trail students to gain better technical skills. In a small group setting with a crew of experienced computer kids, you will receive basic one-to-one assistance to learn about and expand your knowledge of technology. This free class allows you bring your own device in order to practice navigating on your iPad, laptop, or cellphone; Long Trail will have laptops available for use. You will get helpful advice and lessons on everyday uses of Facebook, Twitter, apps, email and downloads of music, movies and pictures. 
Dorset resident Joe McVicker has been designing computer systems for more than 30 years. His experience includes solutions for medical, legal, finance, education, public sector, and non-profit industries. Today he works on projects with the latest Internet technologies while bringing unique perspective from the early days of networked computing.
