Long Trail School’s Hills Come Alive with The Sound of Music on November 19-22

The Arts Department at Long Trail School is pleased to present the musical The Sound of Music.  With music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, this classic is sure to entertain. Suggested by Maria Augusta Trapp’s “The Trapp Family Singers”, the book is written by Howard Lindsay and Russell Crouse. The musical tells the story of Maria, a young woman hired as governess by a widower with many children. As Maria decides whether or not to become a nun, she finds herself enchanted by the children and their father. Many songs from this musical have become well known, such as “Edelweiss”, “My Favorite Things” and “Do-Re-Mi”.
